The Spokane Parks Foundation‘s Make-A-Splash in a Kid’s Life program provides swimming opportunities to kids throughout Spokane County. This program is funded by generous donations from the community. The event in July 2019 at the Hillyard Aquatic Center provided a free-admission swim night and all in attendance received a bag of food.

COPS Mounted Patrol Unit – Spokane COPS

The COPS Mounted Patrol Unit made an appearance at this event to let the kids interact with their horse Finnegan. They come to community events to talk to kids about crime prevention and letting the Spokane-area know that they care enough to get involved locally.

Food Donated to Needy Kids

Bags of free food were handed out to kids in the Hillyard neighborhood as they were leaving the event. Volunteers from the Spokane Parks Foundation put together bags of sandwiches, fruit, drinks, snacks and more for all in attendance.
